Jambi News, Education - Lecturers
of the Information Systems Study Program together with Information Systems
Study Program students at UIN STS Jambi conducted research related to
Website-Based Digital Letters in Pulau Pekan Village, Bungo Regency, Jambi
Province in June 2022.
The research was conducted by two Information Systems Study Program Lecturers, Sepriano, M.Kom, and Fatima Felawati, M.Kom and Melky Ardiyansa a student on Semester III.
This
research is related to the UIN STS Jambi SDGS program by taking the theme
Digital Village and on this occasion Lecturers and students of the information
systems study program at UIN STS Jambi raised the research title
"Application of Digital Village on Website-Based Correspondence Service in
Pulau Pekan Village Bungo Regency"
The application of digital villages is a digital transformation carried out by villages in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, in Indonesia itself, several villages have implemented digital villages with various efforts such as villages in Bungo Regency, Jambi Province, namely Pulau Pekan Village which generally has administrative activities carried out by village government officials.
Community
administration activities still use Microsoft, in recording community data and
correspondence, so that it is one of the reasons for the less than optimal
processing of community data in social administration. In this way officers
become slow in serving administrative activities in the community.
To
overcome all of these things, an application is needed that is able to process
village community data so that it can further assist administrative apparatus
at the Pulau Pekan Village Office. The Digital Village application is a village
that uses an information system in its Web-based services which is built using
the PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter Framework in its work and uses
the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with the waterfall model.
